Marvel of Peru and amazing facts!

Hello everyone!

I am starting my blogging week with a floral photo. Today, I am sharing one of my favorite flowers in my garden. It is known as ‘Marvel of Peru’. It is literally a marvelous flower.

Did you know?

  • It comes in variety of colors on the same plant.
  • This one is also known as Mirabilis jalapa, Four o’clock flower.
  • The flowers are not formed from petals.
  •  Petals are a pigmented modification of the calyx.
  • The flowers are used in food coloring.
