Grateful to Roses.

Magenta pink rose with rain drops

This is one of the three rose varieties in my garden. This monsoon all three bloomed very nicely.

My flower of the day is Rose.

These flowers are really small and cute. They do not have any particular fragrance.

Last year we did saw very few flowers, I researched a bit about the gardening of roses. This search told me two things:

  1. Roses love sunlight
  2. Loose soil for easy water drainage

After learning these important points, we considered moving our pots in the place where direct sunlight is available for at least 4-5 hours.

Adding fresh soil and weeding was done in order to make it healthy. I also read that potassium in banana peels can help the growth too.

We watered them regularly and checked if it is draining properly from pots. That is why we are seeing so many flowers from all the three varieties.

I am really grateful that my roses are blooming!

How do you grow roses- in pots or on the ground? Which method has best results??

If you have some more tips for rose plant care and growth, please do share.
